You’ll learn how your muscles, hormones, and breath can all work in harmony, and how your mind has the power to either tense up—or to soften, allowing labour to flow.
Breathing, Relaxing, Letting Go
As the sessions unfold, you’ll be guided into simple but powerful relaxation techniques. Picture yourself lying back, listening to calm words that help your whole body let go of tension. You’ll practice different breathing patterns—slow, steady breaths that you’ll come back to again and again, like anchors during each wave of labour. Some mums find themselves drifting off into deep rest during these practices, others feel energised—either way, you’re teaching your body how to relax and trust.
Your Partner by Your Side
One of the loveliest parts of the Calm Births course is how much it brings your birth partner into the journey. No more sitting awkwardly on the sidelines—they’ll learn how to support you with gentle massage, calming touch, affirmations, and by creating a safe space around you. You’ll both leave with a “toolbox” of practical skills to use together on the day.
